Next I made another drift to use
to clean up the distortion. I heated the stock then inserted the
cold drift and forged the stock back to shape. You can see the color
in the drift from the heat of the stock. So far I have 30 min into
this including time to make the punch and drift.
A couple of more heats and trips
to the anvil gave me this
Now to the grinder to dress it
up a little!
I think it will look real good
on A little short sword.
Total time about an hour.
